- I have a question that isn't answered here.
There are many web hosting services out there. Most of them charge per megabyte of
storage and/or traffic. At holyoak.com we charge a flat rate for our accounts and allow
you to use as much space and traffic as you need (within reason).
Holyoak.com will not host web sites judged by us to be obscene, unethical, or illegal.
This includes (but is not limited to): pornography, "warez", copyrighted MP3
files, cracks, or any links to such material.
Holyoak.com does not allow subhosting, even if it's free. We feel that our services are
priced low enough that most people can afford their own web site without taking unfair
advantage of our unlimited space and traffic policy.
Holyoak.com provides only web hosting and e-mail accounts. You will need an Internet
Service Provider in order to access the Internet and our services.
Anything that uses standard MIME extensions is supported. We have a CGI script you may
use with your mail forms, but custom CGI scripts are not currently supported. However,
Miva is supported, which provides similar functionality. (For more information
about Miva, visit http://www.miva.com.)
For security reasons, we only offer the private FTP access that is used to update your
web site.
You are allowed to use as much space as the "average" web site reasonably
needs - the monthly fee is flat - it is not based on the amount of storage you use or
traffic that is generated .
